Touchscreens add latency. A physical click or keypress is the fastest input method.
A 144Hz+ monitor reduces display lag. 60Hz adds ~8ms of extra delay per frame.
Tension in your muscles actually slows you down. Keep your hand loose, only your clicking finger ready.
Your spacebar thumb is often faster than a mouse click. Try both and see which suits you.
